The Government Electricity Credits scheme will apply to all domestic electricity accounts who are eligible and registered with a supplier in the Republic of Ireland. This includes:

1. Customers registered with a classification of DG1 (urban domestic customers), or DG2 (rural domestic customers) on 1 November 2024 (for the first payment period) and 1 January 2025 (for the second payment period), are eligible.
2. Customers who have used over 150kWh over the past 4 consecutive quarters (September 2023 to August 2024).
3. Customers flagged as low usage (below 150kWh over the past 4 consecutive quarters) will remain entitled if they’re:

1. On, or entitled to be on, vulnerable customer list
2. Using a hardship meter
3. Signed-up to microgeneration
4. Supplier is satisfied the property is the account holder’s “Primary residence”
