The Government Electricity Credits scheme will apply to all domestic electricity accounts who are eligible and registered with a supplier in the Republic of Ireland. This includes:
Customers registered with a classification of DG1 (urban domestic customers), or DG2 (rural domestic customers) on 1 November 2024 (for the first payment period) and 1 January 2025 (for the second payment period), are eligible.
Customers who have used over 150kWh over the past 4 consecutive quarters (September 2023 to August 2024).
Customers flagged as low usage (below 150kWh over the past 4 consecutive quarters) will remain entitled if they’re:
On, or entitled to be on, vulnerable customer list
Using a hardship meter
Signed-up to microgeneration
Supplier is satisfied the property is the account holder’s “Primary residence”
