Is my account balance displayed in real time?

The balance displayed on the Smart Pay As You Go app and your online account is always displayed a day behind. This is because we charge you once per day for your previous day’s usage. Usage is calculated at midnight for the previous 24-hour period, and the balance is adjusted accordingly around 12 noon each day.

For example, at midnight on the 23 January, we’ll calculate your usage for the day before up until 23.59 i.e. 22 January 00.00 – 23.59. So if your balance displayed as €10 on the 22nd, and you used €7 worth of electricity on that date, your balance will update to €3 at midday on the 23rd.
