Smart Pay As You Go

How do I top up my Smart Pay As You Go meter?

There is no need to input long codes into the meter as the top-up goes directly to the Smart Pay As You Go meter, no matter what top-up option you choose. 

  1. The easiest way to top up is through the Smart Pay As You Go app
  2. You can also top up your electricity online through your online account.  
  3. Alternatively, if you prefer to top up in store, you'll be issued with a Smart Pay As You Go card, please keep this safe. Your card may take up to 3 weeks from when your account has been created for you to receive by post. You’ll be able to pay by debit or credit card on your Smart pay as you go app or online account while you wait or alternatively you can access your PAN ID number which which can be found in the PAN ID section on the customer information page on your Smart Pay As You Go app or online account. You can note this PAN ID number and bring this to an approved payzone outlet and quote this to the cashier to top up.You can top up through approved Payzone outlets. Find your nearest Payzone outlet here: payzone.ie/paywithpayzone. Please allow 10 minutes for your credit to be updated in your wallet. Please be aware that using an unauthorized vending facility may cause difficulties with your supply. 

Note: If you don’t have a Smart Pay As You Go card or have lost yours, please contact us and we'll issue you with a replacement electricity card free of charge.  

The minimum amount you can top-up by is €5 and the maximum amount you can have in your wallet is €300.  

For example: If you already have a balance of €10 in your wallet, the maximum amount you'll be able to top up by is €290.
