Smart Pay As You Go

Am I eligible for Smart Pay As You Go?

To qualify for a Smart Pay As You Go product:  

You must have a smart meter installed at your property. 

Your smart meter must have a connectivity level of 4, which is determined by ESB networks.

You must opt in for interval smart services. This means your smart meter will log your usage every 30 minutes, allowing you to see a breakdown of your daily usage in 30-minute intervals. 

If you're currently a Pay As You Go meter customer, unfortunately Smart Pay As You Go services are not available to you 

While Smart Pay As You Go meters are available to you if you're a vulnerable customer, the Smart Pay As You Go meter may not be suitable for your household. This may apply if you or a member of your household has now or at any time in the future, a vulnerability, such as but not limited to, hearing, mobility, vision impairments or is dependent on electricity for medical reasons. Customers with Smart Pay As You Go meters are not protected from disconnection and the supply will automatically self-disconnect regardless of the time of year if there is no credit on the meter. 

You're not eligible if you have priority services/life support facility on the premise.
