Why did I get a longer top up code than normal?

If the top-up code you received is longer than normal this means your electricity prices have recently changed. When this happens you will be given a special 40 or 60-digit top up instead of the normal 20-digit one, which will update your meter with the new rates as well as crediting your top-up.

This code will need to be entered into the meter as no future top-up codes will work until its entered.
