How do I get gas connected at my premises?

To get connected to the gas grid, you'll need to contact us to register an account. If there's no existing pipework into the property, Gas Networks Ireland (GNI) will provide a quotation to connect the property to the grid and carry out the necessary work outside the property. ​

A Registered Gas Installer (RGI) must also complete any internal pipework required and provide you with an RGI certificate as confirmation that the work has been completed in a safe manner.​

​Once these works have been completed, GNI will issue a GPRN for the property. You can then contact us to set up an account, and we'll arrange with GNI to have a gas meter fitted.​
