How do I cancel my SSE Airtricity account?

If you want to close your account you’ll need to provide us with:

  1. Meter reading for electricity taken on the same day you notify us unless you have a a smart meter with Interval (30 minute) Smart Services activated
  2. Meter reading for gas taken on the same day you notify us if you are a gas or dual fuel customer.
  3. If you’re moving, a forwarding address so we can send out your final bill

These aren’t necessary, but if you don’t supply them your property could be disconnected:

  1. If you’re renting: contact details for the new tenants or your landlord
  2. If you’re selling: contact details for the new occupants or estate agent

Once you have all your details just call our Customer Service team on 0818 81 22 20 to close your account.
