My top up was rejected - what do I do?
If your top up was rejected, you'll receive one of the following error messages. If applicable, wait till the error message appears and then try again.
Duplicate: You have entered this power code before and cannot use it again
Incorrect: The power code has been keyed in incorrectly or is for another meter
Error: You have missed a number or entered the power code too slowly
KB Lock: The power code has been entered incorrectly five times in a row. You'll be locked out for 30 seconds before you can try again.
Wrong Tar: The price of electricity has changed. You must enter the special 40-60 digit power code first. You have been previously been issued this code.
Credit HI: The max credit on a prepay meter is £999.99, if your top up code will bring your balance above £999.99, the meter will reject the code, please wait until your balance reduces enough to then add your new top up credit.
