Why are Northern Ireland Electricity Networks Limited still reading my meter if I'm an SSE Airtricity customer

Northern Ireland Electricity (NIE) Networks will always read your meter, no matter which supplier you are with.

This is because the electricity network is owned and operated separately to where the supply comes from. So while we're your electricity supplier, but NIE Networks will always be responsible for installing, maintaining and reading your meter(s).
