Is it compulsory to send your meter readings?
It’s not compulsory to send in meter readings, but your bills will be more accurate if you do. If you're unable to submit meter readings, we'll use estimates to calculate your bills, or use readings we've received from ESB or Gas Networks.
Please note: If you have a smart electricity meter with interval (30 minute) Smart Services enabled, you don't need to submit readings - your usage is logged remotely by your meter. If your meter has non-interval (bi-monthly) Smart Services enabled, it's still recommended that you submit regular meter readings.
