How do I sign up for meter reading reminders?

You can sign up for meter reading reminders for both electricity and gas by logging into My Account and going to 'Meter Readings.' You can choose whether to receive your reminders by text, email or both. These reminders are customised to your billing period and will be sent nine days before your bill issue date. This individual reminder is for both electricity and gas as both are issued on the same bill. We recommend that you submit your meter readings the day after receiving your reminder to avoid estimations.

If you have an electricity interval smart meter, you won't be required to give meter reads and your usage won't be estimated.

We do recommend, if possible, to submit meter reads if you have a non-interval smart meter.

How do I change or cancel my meter reading reminders?

You can cancel your meter reading reminders by logging into My Account and going to 'Meter Readings.' This is where you can also update the email address or phone number you receive your reminders to.

Why am I not receiving my meter reading reminders?

If you’re not receiving your meter reading reminders, first check that your details are correct by logging into My Account and going to 'Meter Readings.'

If you’ve signed up for email reminders, make sure to also check your ‘spam’ folder and change your settings to allow emails from sseairtricity.com if needed.

Please wait until your next bill due date for any changes to take effect. If your reminders still aren’t working after this just contact our Customer Service team.
