Do I have to pay a security deposit?

To ensure a smooth and reliable expereince while using this, we strongly recommend you use a modern browser, such as Chrome, Firefox or Internet Explorer (version 9 or higher, ideally version 11+).

What can I do?

  • You may already have Chrome, Firefox, or Internet Explorer installed on your computer. We recommend you use one of the browsers. If you don't have any of these, you can download them for free.
  • Talk to your company's IT department, which may be able to provide you with an alternative browser.

Do I have to pay a security deposit?

We ask all non-direct debit customers to pay a security deposit. This is because you are billed in arrears i.e., for energy you've already used.

How much do I have to pay?

All customers not paying by direct debit are required to pay a £125 security deposit. This will be refunded in full if you switch to direct debit or once your account is closed and any balance paid in full.

When do I have to pay?

Your security deposit will be invoiced either before or with your first bill; this should be within 8 to 10 weeks from the date you sign up.
