How to pay your billIf you receive bills
You can make full or top-up payments using any of the following payment options:

Online Payments
You can now make payments through our SSE Airtricity online payment facility. You'll need the following to hand:
- My SSE Airtricity login (or SSE Airtricity account number if you're not registered)
- Credit or debit card
- Valid email address

Through your bank
- Direct debit (to set up a direct debit contact our Customer Service team on 0345 601 9093) Standing order (you can set up a weekly, fortnightly or monthly standing order to pay a regular amount off your bill)
- Online transfer
- Phone banking
Our banking details - Electricity customers
Make sure to use your 6 or 7 digit SSE Airtricity account number as the bank reference. Without this reference, your payments won’t be credited to your account.

Important: if you make a payment up to 6 working days before your next bill is due to be paid, your direct debit amount will be reduced accordingly. After that, we'll carry the payment over to your next bill, so you'll have less to pay next time.

Cheque
Please make cheques payable to SSE Airtricity Energy Supply (NI) Ltd and print your 6 or 7 digit SSE Airtricity account number on the back of your cheque. Without this reference, your payments may not be credited to your account, so be sure to include it.

Cash payments
NEVER send cash payments in the post.
SSE Airtricity Budget Plan is a free service which allows you to spread your energy costs for the year across 12 monthly payments.
It works because in the summer you will use relatively small amounts of energy so your monthly payments will be higher than your actual usage. Since you’re paying more than what you’re using, you build up credit on your account.
On the other hand, during the winter you will use relatively large amounts of energy so your payments will be lower than your actual usage. During these months, your account will draw on the credit you built up during the summer.
SSE Airtricity Budget Plan gives you:
- More control: Know at the start of each month what you need to pay
- More visibility: Monthly Bills let you keep better track of your energy usage
- No hassles: All payments will be made automatically by direct debit
- Less worry: No more guesswork and no large winter payments
There are two ways to submit your meter reading:
- Online: Login to My SSE Airtricity at any time
- Phone: Call Northern Ireland Electricity Networks on 03456 093 030 (open 24 hours) with your MPRN number
You can find your MPRN number on the top right corner of the your bill.
