Changes to pass-through charges

Changes to pass-through charges on your electricity bill

The Climate Change Levy will increase from 0.583 to 0.847 pence per kWh (£0.00847 per kWh) for Electricity customers.

This change equates to an increase of 0.264p/kWh (£0.00264per kWh).

Also, on the same date, the Northern Ireland Renewables Obligation (ROCs) will increase from 18.5% to 19% ROCs/MWh of electricity supplied. The buy-out price will also increase for each ROC from £47.22 to £48.78 per/MWh.

These changes equate to an increase of 0.05p/kWh (£0.0005 per kWh).

These changes are Government-mandated charges which must be applied by all electricity suppliers in Northern Ireland by 1 April 2019 and are beyond the control of SSE Airtricity.

SSE Airtricity expects the next change in pass-through costs to take effect on 1 October 2019, arising from the annual review of transportation and distribution system charges and the Integrated Single Electricity Market (“ISEM”).
