SSE Airtricity announced as title sponsor of RTÉ One’s DIY SOS: The Big Build Ireland

Dedicated ‘show your home some love’ activation campaign launching to support two-year sponsorship deal

Friday, 11 March 2022: SSE Airtricity has signed a two-year sponsorship deal for RTÉ One’s DIY SOS: The Big Build Ireland as title sponsor for season two and three which will air in 2022 and 2023. A dedicated ‘show your home some love’ activation campaign will launch this April encouraging consumers to show their home some love with energy efficient improvements from SSE Airtricity’s Generation Green Home Upgrade. 

Demonstrating its commitment to Irish communities, the SSE Airtricity team will support presenter Baz Ashmawy and the crew at locations across the country, as they transform each home in just nine days thanks to the generosity of volunteers, tradespeople, and supplier donations. As Ireland’s largest generator and supplier of green energy^, SSE Airtricity will bring its energy services expertise to the builds, improving the quality of life for each family, reducing their carbon emissions, and providing 100% green energy^ to all of the participants’ homes at no cost for one year.

Now in its second series, RTÉ’s DIY SOS: The Big Build Ireland has been praised for its inspiring renovations which adapt and upgrade the homes of families who are suffering from a devastating illness or life-altering condition. Each episode sees an army of volunteers including builders, labourers, tradespeople, suppliers, friends, and neighbours come together and give their time in order to transform homes to improve the quality of live for a deserving local family. 

The first episode of DIY SOS: The Big Build Ireland series two is scheduled to air in April on RTÉ One.
