What are my terms and conditions?
Our general terms and conditions for customers will change from the 1st October 2016 to include new terms related to Deemed Contracts.
A Deemed Contract applies in instances where a customer closes their account with SSE Airtricity and the new occupant or owner fails to contact us to set up a contract for supply and we subsequently continue to supply the premise with electricity and/or gas. When this occurs the following conditions will apply:
- The Deemed Contract will continue until a new occupant or owner registers and enters into a new contract with SSE Airtricity or they switch the premise to another provider.
- Premises supplied under these arrangement are subject to our general terms and conditions and will be charged the applicable SSE Airtricity standard rates.
- The owner or occupier will be responsible for the payment for supply and will be issued bills based on actual or estimated reads.
- The premise is at risk of disconnection if a new contract is not set up within 14 days of the previous customer closing their account.
Please note that this change does not affect your right of withdrawal.
