The Public Service Obligation Levy (PSO Levy) is charged to all electricity customers, regardless of their supplier and is used to support renewable electricity generation. The PSO Levy is mandated by government policy and the amount payable by each electricity customer, through their bills, is calculated and certified annually by the energy regulator; the Commission for Regulation of Utilities.
